Architect

Veronika Jilčíková leads a five-member team of architects and interior designers based in Brno. They work on a wide range of projects, from complete interior renovations and designs for new residential buildings to industrial hall projects and civic infrastructure constructions.

As she explains, they aren’t a traditional studio and don’t even have a website, as clients find them through recommendations or by seeing their completed work. Their ideal client is one who comes with trust and is open to guidance.
‍It’s the architect’s role to point out potential challenges and unpredictable factors, as clients often have unrealistic expectations regarding project timelines. For example, transforming an interior with structural changes isn’t a simple task and typically takes several months.

Choose an Architect with Your Heart

For Veronika, the most important part of working with clients is the first meeting and aligning on the project’s goals to understand them clearly. She believes that every interior doesn’t need to look the same; it should contain a “part” of the client who commissioned it. She then develops several ideas, presents them to the client, refines them, and brings them to a final graphical form. Once approved, they seek bids from contractors, price the designs, and, after selecting a contractor, begin the construction phase.
‍Veronika most enjoys the variety in her work, as no two projects are alike. She applies psychology in her approach, needing to deeply understand not only what the client wants but also what is the right design for the specific place and space.

Her stylistic preferences lean toward minimalism and functionalism, though she doesn’t see them as dogmatic rules. She values ample natural light in interiors and always incorporates it in her work. She also strives to make the most of views, opening homes to nature to create a connection between the interior and the surroundings. In her designs, Veronika favors natural materials and simple color schemes with attention to detail. Her preferred materials include wood, stone, glass, and decorative plaster finishes.

She says she’s fortunate to have clients who approach her with trust, and she tries to reciprocate by giving maximum attention and putting a part of herself into each project. Since every client is different, each project is unique. Although Veronika has her own professional style, she doesn’t adhere to a single scheme. It’s this diversity that makes the work of an architect so captivating. Her main goal is a satisfied, delighted client who returns and recommends her to others.
