108 Agency
The task for the architects from Este Architekti was to create a representative yet practical entry area for open-space offices. The centerpiece of the space is a bar table featuring a tabletop made from 2 cm thick Patagonia granite with a polished finish. The size of this tabletop is limited by the dimensions of the stone chosen by the client (284 x 120 cm). The edge is visible, and the total height of the tabletop is 10 cm.
The entire natural stone slab is backlit, with meticulous attention to detail given to the alignment of the stone’s illuminated veins. The steel base forms a solid supporting foundation that distributes the total weight of the table, approximately 400 kg. From this hidden base, 108 steel legs rise to support a 10 mm-thick steel plate, which serves as the foundation for the stone slab and provides space for lighting and cable management.
An understated kitchenette in black Perfect Sense decor is built into the adjacent wall.
